In response to the current COVID-19 surge in northwest Ohio, the Ohio National Guard, Toledo-Lucas County Health Department, Mercy Health and ProMedica are collaborating to stand up a mass COVID-19 testing site at the Lucas County Recreation Center located at 2901 Key Street in Maumee, Ohio.
As part of this initiative, free COVID-19 testing will be available to the public on Fri., Jan. 7 from 7 a.m. – 3 p.m., then on a daily basis beginning on Sun., Jan. 9. The Lucas County Recreation Center was chosen as the location for this initiative as it offers a large, indoor area with plenty of space to social distance.
Pre-registration is required and no walk-ins will be permitted. Individuals who are not registered will not be allowed access to the site. There is no cost to be tested, and results will be communicated within 48 hours of the test being administered. Masks are required at entry. To view the complete schedule of available testing dates, times, along with registration and to reserve a testing time, visit https://lucascountycovid19testingjan2022.as.me/.
In the event of a positive test result, individuals should follow up with their health care provider and follow the direction of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). It is anticipated that this initiative will be ongoing for 30 days, but it will be evaluated on a weekly basis.
